Peavey Messenger Pro Subs Pair Unpowered
The Peavey Messenger range provides an excellent quality PA speaker solution for an extremely reasonable price, featured within the range are the Messenger Pro Sub bass-bins. The bass-bins are designed to sit at floor level, increasing their efficiency, and by using the Peavey PS-B satellite pole, you can mount your satellite speaker on top of that. This saves space and also looks great and saves using separate speaker stands too. Its worth noting that the PS-B pole goes all the way into the Pro Sub which ensure the satellite speaker is very stable and won't lean at a slight angle unlike some designs.
The Messenger Pro Sub has a 15” Woofer that provides 300 watts RMS continuous output with a 1200 watts peak rating. The outer surface of the bass-bin is covered with industrial strength black carpet whilst the speaker is protected by a kick proof steel silver grey grill, on each side of the enclosure is a high impact plastic “teardrop” carrying handle which makes them easy and safe to carry.
At the rear of the cabinet are two ¼” jacks and two Neutrik Speakon connectors. There are input connections for the cable from the amp and the “high-pass output” for connecting to a satellite speaker and routing mid and high frequencies to it. The enclosure weighs a very reasonable 26.5 kilos and its dimensions are 19.9'' (505mm) H x 26'' (660mm)W x 19.1'' (485mm)D.
The bass bins would typically be used by DJ’s for extended range and thump, bands who wish to mic up drum kits and bass, acts with backing tracks and any application where extended bass is required. When you play live with a bass bin you find it underpins the sound which has the effect of making everything else sound better. To get that concert sound without paying festival prices, the Messenger Pro Sub-bass bins do exactly what they say on the tin, and they do it very well ….
