Input section.
There are 8 mono inputs each with a low noise XLR microphone input and a ¼” jack line input. The XLR input can provide 48v phantom power for condenser mics or powering DI boxes. Channels 1&2 also have an insert point for connecting compressors and the like. Channels 1 to 6 have a 25db pad button to prevent distortion of hot signals and channels 7 & 8 have a stereo input facility using 2 mono jacks, ideal for keyboards or CD players. Channel 9 has a stereo input and record output on ¼” jacks for keyboards, tape, CD or MP3.
Each channel has 6 controls making it easy to use. FX sends level, bass, middle and treble, monitor sends and channel volume. There is also tape in and record out facilities on regular phono sockets, a reverb defeat jack socket for an optional footswitch to turn the reverb off and on between songs, effects output sockets, main output sockets ideal for chaining on to other amplifiers or in house PA systems and power amp in sockets when you want to plug straight into the power section of the amp.
The master EQ section has a twin 9 band graphic EQ controls. One is stereo and used for master left and right Eq. The other can either be a graphic for the monitors or switched to be an extra EQ on channel 3, very useful. The 48 bit Fx section has 12 types of effect each of which can be tweaked by the time/size control and the colour/tone control. There are also 4 patch memories for your favourite settings. There is a master fx level and also a useful fx to monitor control so you can have a little bit of Fx in the monitors if you wish.
The stereo feedback ferret automatically helps reduce any squeals and feedback and channels 1 to 6 have an 80 Hz roll off switch to cut stage rumble on microphones.
The amplifier.
The amplifier is stereo and produces 2 x 200 watts into 4 ohms per side and outputs are 2 x standard ¼” jack sockets for each side. DDT speaker protection stops the power amps running into distortion at full volume. Usually you would run the 2x200w as the main PA but there is a main/monitor switch that can reconfigure the amp so that one 200w amp powers two 8 ohm main speakers and the other amp powers passive monitor cabs.
Mains input are via the provided standard IEC cable.
