This is a handy, compact and portable mixer that can be used for a variety of uses such as in a small home studio set-up, as part of a MIDI production suite as a keyboard/module sub-mixer or even in a live sound situation.

Yamaha have a credible reputation as manufacturers of high quality audio mixers and this model is no exception. The inclusion of a rotary compression control is a big help and avoids having to understand the workings of a compressor and how to set it up.

There’s plenty of scope in the EQ range and the general lay-out of the mixer is well designed and uncluttered. Most sections are fairly intuitive and it shouldn’t take more than a few hours to get to grips with this beastie …

All in all a good value for money product …
