In our view the Peavey XR800F is one of the most versatile mixer amps around. It has enough channels and output power for most of the small gig venues around with 9 input channels and 200 watts output per channel it's a great piece of kit and there is nothing around that equals it.
This mixer amp has been extremely well designed with some nice touches that include the facility to play an external sound source through the PA (iPod, MP3 Player, Tape deck) to allow background music whilst the band are on a break.
The FLS should also mean that you can get your mic levels nice and high and the graphic EQ will help to resolve sound problems for those occasions where you’re playing ballroom type venues. Peavey have also thrown in a series of Digital effects to sweeten the vocal sounds and each channel has its own monitor and effects send to personalise your on stage monitor level and vocal effect.
For a lot less than £400 I can’t help think that this amp is an absolute bargain, it’s got the Peavey quality and dependability and Peavey are so confident of their product that they provide a 5 year warranty on it.
