DVD Absolute Beginners Piano
Based on the award winning absolute beginners series, this DVD is aimed at people who prefer to learn by watching as well as reading. Each of the DVD’s give a step by step guide to playing, they all come with booklets, so you can watch or read how to play.
Getting started
The DVD starts by getting your posture and hand position right, you’ll then start to learn about basic music notation, note names and understanding rhythms. The DVD will then move on to getting your hands to first play separately, then to play together and play you first pieces with the backing tracks provided.
Special features
The DVD includes a great range of special features, my favourite is the on-screen notation with synchronised video of both hands playing. From this you will gain a better understanding of what is being played, how to play it and how to read music.
