The HP201EMP offers an exquisite 88-key multi-sampled piano sound under the control of Roland’s new PHA II “Ivory Feel” keyboard with Escapement, along with key touch adjustable by up to 100 levels. This stylishly designed home piano model has a powerful speaker system, and is ably assisted by a clear and easy-to-understand operation panel. The piano legs, and elegant European cabinet provide the look and sound of an acoustic piano with a contemporary design. The cabinet itself is available in a Maple finish.
For an authentic acoustic grand piano feel, the HP201EMP is equipped with Roland’s new PHA II “Ivory Feel” keyboard with Escapement. This recently developed keyboard technology reproduces the real feel of ivory for the natural keys and ebony for the sharps.
It also offers the same natural response as a grand piano, with a heavier touch in the lower range and lighter touch in the upper, and with lighter resistance on pianissimo passages and stronger resistance on fortissimo just like a well-maintained acoustic grand. It even faithfully reproduces the escapement “click feel” of a grand-piano action.
