Roland E50 Music Workstation
The Roland E-50 (61 keys) and E-60 (76 keys) really are leading the way in the new generation of home keyboards, offering high quality sounds and professional feature combined with a very intuitive and user friendly operating system. Perfect for and advanced musicians alike. The 64-voice polyphony sound engine and massive onboard WAVE ROM delivers over 1000 of best sounds from the Roland library, including many new ultra-realistic studio-sampled instruments. Over 120 accompaniment styles are also included. These have been created by a professional team of international style programmers using their local musical preferences. All these styles are expertly mixed and mastered for a truly authentic playing experience. All the features you’d expect to find are here, including full MIDI capabilities, USB & floppy drive for data storage, pitch/modulation lever and 61 full size, velocity sensitive keys. The hi-impact sound of the E-50 comes courtesy of the powerful onboard four-speaker, bi-amplified system complete with Bass Reflex System and Digital Bass Enhancer. The addition on not one, but two headphone sockets is also a nice touch, great for music teachers.
Large Touchscreen
The E-50 has a huge 16 gray-scale LCD display with touchscreen. This makes it very simple to use when you’re navigating your way through the menus. Above all, it’s just really cool! The size and quality of the screen allows Roland to include their DigiScore software, giving you a high quality 4-stave score displaying notation, chords and even lyrics. Songs can be created in the onboard pro-quality 16 track sequencer or be loaded from standard MIDI files.
Guitar Mode
The E-50’s Guitar Mode function has to be heard to be believed. It provides several down-and up-stroke patterns, realistic muting and other guitar techniques all controllable from the keyboard. Finally, the keyboardist gets to be the guitarist…well, almost!
