Description

Hiscox Std EF Strat/Tele Hardshell Case

Hiscox cases are made in England in the midlands and have been around since 1985 when the company was formed by owner Brian Hiscox. Since then the company has flourished and now export cases to more than 17 countries worldwide and to over 900 retailers and guitar manufacturers in the UK.

Almost 90% of the guitar market in the UK is made up of guitars that have similar dimensions to those made by Fender instruments; it therefore made perfect sense for Hiscox cases to produce a generic standard case that encapsulated the hard case requirements of these models.

Hiscox therefore developed the Hiscox Standard EF case which services this requirement and is suitable for Stratocaster or Telecaster shaped guitars. Hiscox have a credible reputation as case manufacturers and produce a range known as “Liteflite” which utilise a moulded, high impact resistant A.B.S. plastic outer shell, bonded directly to an inner moulding manufactured from a unique blend of 'High Tech' cellular foam.

The inner moulding is extremely light and, being semi-rigid, is designed to soak up impact shocks from the outside world. The unique bonding of the inner moulding to the outer shell gives total structural rigidity which Hiscox claim is unmatched by any other case in the world.

Internally the case is lined with a deep pile fur fabric which is bonded directly onto the shaped foam moulding providing a neatly tailored luxurious feel. The aluminium valance that runs along the outer edge of the case is unique to Hiscox Cases. Its design not only increases the rigidity of the case, but ensures a positive location of lid to base when the two halves are closed so that the clasps can snap tightly shut.

Hiscox cases are well respected in the industry, they are light, tough and sensibly priced and their range covers most brands of guitars and basses along with some other classical instruments. It obviously makes good sense to invest in a sturdy reliable case for your instrument having just paid the king’s ransom to acquire it...

Providing you are sensible about how and where it is stored it should last you 15 to 20 years. I myself have had a Hiscox case since 1994 and it still looks relatively new, so I have no hesitation in recommending their products to other prospective purchasers.Check out the range at the Nevada Music Warehouse ..
