Fender’s Teleacoustic is a relatively new hybrid instrument that integrates traditional guitar manufacturing with new raw materials to produce a slim bodied lightweight electro acoustic instrument. The body of the instrument bears a passing resemblance to the body of a Fender Telecaster and has a laminated spruce top.
The neck is also typically Telecaster-esque even down to the recognisable headstock, however this is where the similarity ends as the back and sides are moulded from fibreglass to give a resilient, tough and lightweight feel to the instrument.
A 21 fret Maple neck features a Rosewood fret board with in-laid dot position markers leading to the usual curved Fender telecaster headstock complete with vintage style unbranded chrome machine heads and string trees.
The 3” deep slim body has a Rosewood compensated bridge whilst the strings are held in place via 6 bridge pins, the oval shaped sound hole has a simple black and white rosette around the edge that matches the black and white body edge binding.
Amplified sound comes courtesy of the Fender CE-301 Pre-amp and provides volume, bass middle and treble control along with a low battery indicator light and snap-in battery compartment.
