Description

Rickenbacker 360 Electric Guitar Midnight Blue

Since the swinging pop-sounds of the 1960's Rickenbacker has been a respected and popular brand of electric musical instruments and were endorsed in the 1960's by some of the biggest names in popular music.

The 360 originally hails from back then but has been subtly modified over the past few decades to take advantage of modern guitar manufacturing processes. The Rickenbacker double cut-away shape is undeniably unique and instantly recognisable and this semi-solid model uses a laminated Maple body that has been comfort contoured and connects to a Maple neck ...

The fret board is crafted from Rosewood and uses triangular inlaid fret markers, whilst the twin single coil pick-ups each have their own tone and volume controls along with a 3 way toggle selector switch ... There's also a Master Pre-set tone and volume control allowing instant access at the flick of the toggle switch. The Rickenbacker 360 is presented here in a stunning Midnight Blue colour, it's also worth noting that this guitar has a stereo output as standard.

The Rickenbacker 360 in Midnight Blue is classy guitar, the quality of this instrument is quite obvious to me and will be so to anyone who picks this guitar up and plays it. It both looks and feels like a deluxe guitar and the build quality and finish confirm this assumption....

Tone wise the single coils have a very toppy sound and you'll need to be careful when EQ'ing this guitar so that the sound is not too shrill. However it does have the capability to adapt itself to a few different musical genres and can be used for much more than just a jangly 60's rhythm sound.

For some reason I have always found that Rickenbacker's sound much more natural when played through true valve configured amplifiers, the combination produces a warmth and crispness that is often difficult to emulate with solid state technology - but that's just my own personal view ...

For those of you looking for something other than the usual mainstream brands you might want to give Rickenbacker a punt ... check them out at the Nevada Music Warehouse ...
