Gibson 1957 Les Paul Junior SC VOS Vintage Sunburst
The Les Paul Junior was originally introduced in 1954 and was effectively the budget-line entry level Les Paul model. With its no-nonsense look, and a single P-90 pickup, the 1954 price of $49.50 was an instant hit. The Junior remained a single-cutaway guitar through 1957. In 1958, Gibson changed the Junior's body shape, adding a double-cutaway version while continuing the popular single-cutaway model.
Like all VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Series instruments, the 1957 Les Paul Junior Single Cutaway VOS is handcrafted for comfort and playability in the Gibson Custom Shop. The construction, neck profile, hardware, and electronics are period accurate, and a special nitrocellulose finish treatment gives it the feel of a gently aged vintage guitar. The Gibson 1957 Les Paul Junior includes Gibson Custom Shop case, a certificate of authenticity, and custom care kit.
