Having taken the UK and US thrash metal scene by storm Trivium have made a name for themselves as one of today’s leading bands in this Genre. Their straight up old school approach to Heavy Metal has earnt them a legion of fans, with fast paced solos and heavy riffs inspiring a new generation of budding guitar slayers. In collaboration with Dean Guitars both guitar players Corey Beaulieu and Matt Heafy have designed their own custom signature models, allowing each of us to get closer to the look and more importantly the tone of these two great players.
Focusing on the Corey Beaulieu signature model here we see some classic ideas tweaked and brought into this new generation. Corey Beaulieu opted to go for the Flying V shape, adding some new cutaways he managed to change the look of this already legendary guitar into something worthy of any heavy metal guitar players respect. But it doesn’t just look cool, this guitar features all the frills that any shred fan will be looking for, including the licensed floyd rose locking tremolo system, a 24 fret fingerboard and custom designed pickups which the man himself helped to design. The guitar also features a rosewood fretboard and Grover machineheads, all of these features come together nicely to create a guitar which plays and looks great.
