Having taken the UK and US thrash metal scene by storm Trivium have made a name for themselves as one of today’s leading bands in this Genre. Their straight up old school approach to Heavy Metal has earnt them a legion of fans, with fast paced solos and heavy riffs inspiring a new generation of budding guitar slayers. In collaboration with Dean Guitars both guitar players Corey Beaulieu and Matt Heafy have designed their own custom signature models, allowing each of us to get closer to the look and more importantly the tone of these two great players.
Here we have the Matt Heafy signature model, Matt opted for the now flagship metal guitar design the Dean ML for his signature model, emblazoned with the Japanese rising sun design and Trivium logo on the headstock. Similarly to the Corey Beaulieu model Matt’s features pickups designed by Dean guitars technicians in conjunction with Matt, choosing to keep things as simple as possible the controls featured on this guitar are just one 3 way selector switch and one volume control, Matt himself has said that he was not the sort of player to fiddle with tone controls so creating a pickup that just delivers the tone he wants made more sense. This guitar also features the Floyd rose locking Tremolo system, a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard and grover tuners.
