Gibson Les Paul Classic Ebony Finish
The Gibson Les Paul Classic electric guitar is remarkably similar to the Les Paul standard but with subtle differences. The body is the standard Les Paul configuration of tone-woods using a Mahogany body with an arched Maple top along with a Mahogany 1960’s style slim tapered set-neck.
The fret board is crafted from Rosewood with inlaid pearl trapezoidal fret position markers, the body and neck has a single ply cream binding that runs along the edge of the high gloss lacquer finish. The bridge is the Gibson ABR type with stop-bar tailpiece and along with the Gibson De-luxe machine heads is finished in Nickel plate.
The pick-ups are a 496R Ceramic Magnet Hum-bucker at the neck and a 500T Ceramic Magnet Hum-bucker in the bridge position, both pick-ups have had the pick up covers removed to reveal the open wound coils. Adjacent to the pick-ups, the floating scratch plate has a “1960” embossed logo on its upper face.
The Les Paul Classic comes complete with a hard case that has the emblem “Gibson USA” silkscreen printed on the side.
