The beauty of the SG stems from its simplicity, there are no fancy active electronics, no complicated locking trem to worry about, just a simple guitar with two pick-ups. The fact that Gibson has retained all of these features almost 30 years later including the instantly recognisable bat-wing cut-away is a testament to the fact that the designers got it right first time.

This instrument will perhaps appeal to the purists amongst you who merely want to concentrate all of their efforts on the music and don’t wish to be hindered by technology.
