Fender Deluxe US Strat 62 Vintage Player Ice Blue

First introduced in 1998, and still in production today, the American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster is a re-issue of Fender’s now classic and highly sought after ‘62 Strat––one of the true watershed instruments in Fender’s illustrious range of Stratocaster models.

Comfort-contoured, with a traditional Alder body, and Maple neck - not to mention an old-school nitro finish - the ‘62 Stratocaster re-issue really feels and looks the part of a true vintage instrument, although purists will argue that it lacks the cosy “worn-in” vibe of the real thing… and without the aged wood.

With some vintage Strats from the 1960s running in the tens of thousands of pounds, it’s no wonder that the American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster remains so popular....

Cosmetically the guitar has also been atrificially aged so that visually it could be mistaken as an original Fender from that era - although Fender have stopped short of distressing the finish as they have done with the relic series. This guitar plays very well although I have to thank the guys at Nevada for the set-up as there were some minor adjustments required when it arrived from the factory ...

However once the neck and action were tweaked, this guitar played like a dream and had all the classic tones that we've come to love and associate with the Fender brand. The pick-ups had warmth within the mid-tone frequencies combined with crisp top end and plenty of the Fender sound characteristics that I like to call "twang" ... If you're into old Strats but can't afford an original then this could be the next best thing - see it now at the Nevada Music Warehouse ...
