The Fender Jaguar is a somewhat different to the traditional type Strat, in that it has a curvier body and a more aggressive look. The new model withholds its striking differences and comes in a stylish black finish. It also has chrome hard ware which makes the guitar look ice cool....
New design new sound
The traditional Jaguar had a very similar sound to a Strat, as it utilises the same single coil pick-ups. The new model has two Dragster pick-ups, which provides a far more modern sound, and it would seem that Fender has therefore aimed this model at the contemporary market and not without success.
Anchored down
The new Jag model also comes with a fixed bridge in the Gibson style, again this is to make it a little more rock n roll. You can put a set of “Skinny top heavy bottoms” on this without having to modify the springs in the back of your guitar.
