This instrument is the left handed version of the Ibanez exotic wood range EW20ASENT electro-acoustic guitar. This single cut-away model is crafted from Ash with a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fret board, it also utilises the Ibanez Sound Expand construction method that allows the use of thinner bracing on the body of the guitar which enhances the vibration of the top and subsequently creates an even balance between low, mid and high frequencies.
The compensated bridge is also made from Rosewood with 6 Ibanez Advantage bridge pins whilst the machine heads are chrome Ibanez smooth tuners. The headstock is covered by Ash laminate and the guitar has ornate binding around the edge of the body and also a circular Abalone rosette around the sound hole.
Fret orientation markers are on the side of the neck and a Super Infinity Abalone insert adorns the 12th fret. On the side of the guitar is the Ibanez AEQ-SRT Shape-shifter pre-amp with cut and boost controls and is connected to the B-Band SQR pick-up which is located underneath the bridge. Included within the pre-amp is an on-board guitar tuner and master volume control and at the base of the guitar is a combined jack and XLR input alongside a 9v battery compartment for the active electronic circuitry.
