Another successful range from the guys at Peavey, this time they have come up with a very good entry-level acoustic guitar in the form of the Briarwood DR3. This guitar looks a lot more expensive than it actually is whilst the sound is loud, bright and resonant with a particularly nice top end frequency range.

The build quality is superb when relating it to the price of the instrument and attention to detail and quality control has been rigourously adhered to by the guys at the Peavey factory although restringing with a decent set of strings ( 12 gauge ideal ) would really bring out the best in it. The piezo pickup sounds great through an amp or PA system although you'll have to adjust the tone and volume on the amp as there are no controls on the guitar.

All in all a very good guitar for the money.
