Description

Yamaha make excellent acoustic guitars, generally it’s agreed throughout the industry that like fine wine, they tend to get better with age. Well here’s a 12 string acoustic model for around the £200 price mark that has already established itself as a popular choice amongst acoustic players.

The dreadnought style body is crafted using a Sitka spruce top and Nato wood back and sides, the fret board and bridge are made from Rosewood and this guitar has 20 medium frets. So how does it sound ? Well, in my humble opinion pretty damn good, I know of a few guys who have purchased this model of 12 string guitar and I have to say that on each occasion that I have heard them I couldn’t help but be impressed by the sound.

The Dreadnought body and Sitka spruce top means that this instrument is nice and loud with a shimmering top end, and I’m assured by those who already own this model that they get better with age. So I’d have to say that for the price this looks like being a smart investment, but hey, don’t take my word for it – come down to the Nevada Music Warehouse and try it …
