A normal or natural acoustic guitar is one which relies solely on the sound it produces acoustically. It can be either a nylon strung classical or a steel strung acoustic type instrument, both of which sound different. A classical guitar sound will more mellow than the higher pitched steel strung guitar.
An acoustic guitar can vary from a budget model which is made from laminated woods to those made from solid woods, such as spruce, cedar and a range of exotic timbers.
Some top of the range acoustic guitars are now constructed of space age materials such as carbon fibre. As your playing skills develop you will find that you want a better instrument and, as every piece of wood is different, we suggest you try a few before deciding on your next acquisition.
