Line 6 Pocket Pod Express
Here's the latest addition to the Line 6 POD range, the Pocket Pod Express. For quite a few years now, Line 6 have been at the forefront of amp modelling technology, and the POD's have been some of the most popular modellers out there. This, the smallest in the range, is designed to be portable and easy to use. It's stripped down approach means you'll never even have to look at the users manual, it's that easy!
The control panel features 4 knobs and a button to set the tap tempo of the effects and to access the tuner. The first knob controls the amp type: There are 5 amp models available, based on the Fender Deluxe Reverb, Vox AC30, Marshall JCM800, Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier and finally a Fender Twin. Each amp has a variable gain, depending on where you have the knob within the amp type. Knob 2 allows you to choose a modulation effect, either Delay, Tremolo or Flanger, and Knob 3 selects either Delay, Spring or Hall reverbs. As with the Amp selector knob, these effects and reverbs have variations that are determined by the position of the knob within the effect type. The final knob is the master volume...and that's it, as simple as can be.
The advantage of this simplicity is that you don't get bogged down in programming the thing, you just quickly dial in a killer tone and rock out! The rear panel features a 1/4" input and output, a mini headphone jack out, an input for your iPod/mp3 and an input for the option 9v PSU. The Pocket Pod Express is supplied with 4x AAA batteries and a belt clip...making it perfect for practice at home or on the go.
This stripped down version of the Line 6 Pods maintains the same excellent tone of it's bigger brothers, and it's simplicity and versatility means it will be a sure fire hit with guitarists all over the world!
