Triggers & Controllers

A great way to add to your electronic drum kit (or to use as a stand alone unit) is to add an electric drum controller. These units utilise a series of pads which can be hit with either sticks or hands (great for percussion players).

Whereas some standalone units contain in-built sounds, others are just controllers that link to your drum module via general MIDI. This is a great way to trigger your kit's additional sounds such as cowbells and tambourines for when you've run out of pads and inputs on your kit!

These control units are also very versatile, ideal for live use, often seen linked to samplers for triggering loops, hits and effects on the fly. We also stock a range of acoustic drum triggers and converter boxes. This allows you to convert your acoustic drums into either a signal that an electronic kit will recognise, or if you go via a converter box, into MIDI. Open up a whole new world of versatility in both the studio and on stage.
