Roland TD9K V-Drums Package

Buy this Roland TD-9 bundle and save £££'s... everything you need to get your new Roland kit up and drumming. This package includes a Roland TD 9K V-Drum kit with stand, a Kick Drum Pedal,  Drum Throne, Headphones and a pair of Drum Sticks.... plus FREE UK MAINLAND DELIVERY!

From Roland's latest generation of V-Drums, here's the TD-9K. This latest range utilises a completely new next-generation sound engine at its core, which means that this mid-range V-Drum family comes with brand new sounds and, according to the manufacturers (cue deep American voice-over), " ...a deeper level of expression and playability..."

The TD-9 kit is available in two seperate configurations. This particular model - the TD-9K - is the little brother, mainly due to the fact that the toms are kitted out with dual-trigger rubber pads (whereas on its bigger brother, the TD-9KX, all toms are presented as fully-blown mesh pads). Both feature the same mesh Snare pad and Kick Drum trigger, and the technology behind the two kits is identical, so it's really up to you whether you want to splash the extra cash for the upgraded pads!

The brain behind both kits is the all new TD-9 Drum module, which features newly developed practice facilities, quick record / play features, and can blend a couple of hundred new sounds with real audio songs / patterns. The TD-9 module is also compatible with the optional VH-11 hi-hat and can handle three-way Ride cymbal triggering and dual-triggering Toms.

The TD-9 Drum module has a large back-lit display and easy to use over-sized controls, and the screen features icon-based graphical controls that make editing and programming new kits or sounds quicker and easier. There's also a built-in skill builder to help make your practice sessions more enjoyable and grade your own skill levels. The module sits clamped to the new MDS-9 drum rack that has 4 sturdy legs to support the hardware and new ball-joint mounts and angle adjustable hi-hat arms...

One of the coolest features of the TD-9K, though, is an on-board USB interface that allows you to play along with favourite MP3's direct from a regular memory stick! Combine this with the brilliant new sounds and software, and the fun new practice features, and you're buying not just an electronic drum kit, but an incredible piece of technology that will improve your playing and help you enjoy drums more than ever!

Gig

by Gig Stig

I spoke with a friend of mine recently, he is a professional live sound engineer and the conversation turned to the Roland V-Drums range and in particular the Roland TD-9 kit. I asked him what he thought of them, and he responded by saying that the easiest job in the world is getting the TD-9 to sound good in a live situation. "How do you do it ...?" I asked, "Simple" he replied, "just push up the volume faders!"

The point he was making is just how good the TD-9 sounds out-of-the-box - each of the drum samples have already been eq'd, compressed and dynamically enhanced during the sampling process to give pristine sound quality. All the drummer has to do is hit the damn things!

As always with Roland, the build quality and playability of this kit are second to none.  The major upgrade with the Roland TD9 from the previous model (the TD6) is in the sound module.  The acoustic sounds have been vastly improved, and the addition of "real" backing tracks adds a completely new dimension to practising. The larger, backlit screen and easy to use operating system put this kit in a league of it's own... The Roland TD9 is by far the best electronic kit you can buy for this kind of money.

Plus, all the regular advantages of an electronic kit still ring true with the TD9:-

Fabulous CD-quality Drum samples
Silent rehearsal via headphone output
Small footprint when compared to an acoustic kit
Easier to pack down/store/transport

It's easy to see why the Roland TD-9 was voted "Best Electronic Drum Kit 2008" at the MIA industry awards...

What a kit!, 06 November 2009

This is the first time that I have bought a drum kit, but have been thinking about doing so for a long time. However, now I finally have this kit at home I am very impressed. The build quality is fantastic, and the attention to detail is superb. I especially like the fact that you can alter pretty much any aspect of the kit set up, from cymbal size to sound effects - everything seems to be there to help you customise your setup. I would highly recommend this kit and am very pleased with it.
