The TD-6KW sits nicely in the middle of the Roland V-Drums range, offering the high quality sounds of the top end kits whilst still maintaining an affordable price. The standard set up features a 10” mesh head snare pad, 3 rubber tom pads, 1 rubber kick drum pad, a newly designed hi-hat pad with pedal and 2 ‘chokable’ dual trigger cymbal pads. The supplied MDS-6C drum stand is a significant upgrade to the lower priced models. Finished in a metallic gun metal black, the attractive curved pipes offer added strength and sturdiness for even the heaviest of playing styles. The newly designed CY-5 hi-hat pad offers a wider playing surface with a more natural feel whilst the sturdy, upright kick drum pad will easily accommodate a double bass drum pedal.
Mesh head snare pad
The TD-6KW features a dual trigger mesh head on the snare drum capable of rim shots. This allows for a much more realistic feel than standard rubber pads, great for practising rolls and other snare techniques. This mesh head is replaceable and can be “tuned”, allowing the user to adjust the head tension to their liking without affecting the sound.
TD-6V Brain
The brain unit on the TD-6 kits represents a huge jump up in features from the lower end models. The 64-voice module offers 1024 of Roland’s best drum and percussion sounds as well as 262 backing instruments. The onboard 6 part sequencer is great for jamming and practicing and the built in EQ and effects allow you to tweak and beef up your sounds, creating and saving your perfect drum setups. Expandable up to 11 pads and cymbals, the TD-6 features dual trigger snare and tom inputs. This allows for rim shots not only from the snare, giving you the versatility for added musical expression. Stylishly designed, the TD-6 module is very easy to use thanks to large illuminated buttons and a clear, blue back-lit LCD screen.
