Description

The Sennheiser EH150 headphones feature closed ear pads which help to block out ambient noise and deliver enhanced bass response. These rugged lightweight headphones have a secure fit and can be used for both mobile sources and home hi-fi systems.

Featuring a grey plastic head band and black leatherette ear pads the EH150 are ultra light at just 150 g excluding the 3 metre cable. Frequency response is from 18 to 18000 Hertz whilst the nominal impedance is 32 Ohms. The jack plug includes a small mini-jack stereo adapter and recommended SPL (Sound Pressure Levels are set at 115 dB.

The EH150’s are run of the mill domestic hi-fi headphones that are adequate for most applications. True they will never match the sonic brilliance of AKG 271’s but then they are made to a completely different specification and budget – costing only a fraction of the AKG model.

They look quite cool and have a pleasing cosmetic design, they are also lightweight and quite rugged and I guess this is another case of “ … you get what you pay for …”

So to summarise, they sound pleasant enough and are comfortable to wear but don’t expect sonic perfection.
