Massive bass from a tiny bass!, 04 August 2009

Just tried one of these bass's out while I was at the shop, just to see what the fuss is about. I must admit, for less than £150 you could do a lot worse. The one I tried out was really well finished. No obvious flaws and set up pretty well. However (bear in mind this is all personal preference) for me, the bass just doesnt have enough top end. Admittedly I do like a pretty modern sound, owning a Stingray n all. Compared to that, the EB-0's top end is virtually non-existant unless you use extreme eq which nobody wants to do. On the plus side, the EB-0 does have plenty of big ol' booty to it which when it comes down to it, is what bass is all about isnt it? Short scale as well so it's a breeze to play. I can see the kids loving this, with it's iconic rock image!
