Ashdown Bentley Cab 115 Bass Speaker Enclosure
In 2006 Ashdown Engineering celebrated 5 years as a manufacturer of quality bass amplification products, to mark the occasion Ashdown have released a limited edition ABM Bentley bass cabinet – thus called because the speaker grill resembles the radiator grill on a Bentley motor car.
The cabinet chassis is covered in black suede – effect material, inside is a single Ashdown Blueline 15” bass driver with a power rating of 300watts into 8 Ohms in a precision tuned plywood cabinet. The front face of the speaker enclosure has a silver grey grill that curves to a point – emulating the grill on the Bentley car.
The cabinet has the red Ashdown Engineering plastic logo emblem above the grill and a union jack logo on the side, on each side is a circular plate with a recessed carrying handle whilst the jack input is at the rear of the enclosure.
Ashdown BlueLine speakers have been developed by Ashdown to achieve a harmonious balance of power, transparency and deep, controlled low end, without sacrificing any of the mid-range attack and high-end brightness that are so important in a contemporary bass sound.
As with many bass speaker cabinets, the combination of the chassis the speaker and the handles combine together to make this speaker cabinet into a hefty beast, weighing in at 36Kg. However at that weight you can be sure that even at high volume levels the cabinet will stay anchored to the floor …
