Undoubtedly this is squarely aimed at the busker and outdoor market and I have to say with that in mind this is a very well thought out little unit providing a decent if not exceptional guitar sound, and a clear and concise vocal sound.
The tuner is probably a god send for all guitarists and the choice of several amp models will help to re-create songs as they were played originally. Add to this a useful addition of Delay and Reverb for processing the voice and you’ve got yourself a good little product here.
It’s nice to see decent quality speakers using Neodymium drivers and if Roland’s claims are true about the six AA batteries giving 15 hours continuous use then that should normally be ample for even the most enthusiastic busker.
Just remember to equip yourself with some good quality re-chargeable batteries (The Nevada Radio department has a good selection) otherwise some of your hard earned cash will be spent buying truckloads of replacements.
I guess other than in a busking situation you could always use this amp as your “on the go …” or backstage warm-up tool. It’s small enough to take with you to exotic holiday locations for those sunset moments when you feel inspired to write an Opus D Jazz Odyssey …
All in all the Cube Street is a good product that has been well designed and thought out … check it out at the Nevada Music Warehouse
